Fayetteville-Manlius and Cincinnatus softball teams are set to make history today at Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park in Binghamton + each team will face a key semifinal matchup, with F-M playing Orchard Park at 2:30 p.m. and Cincinnatus taking on Oakfield-Alabama at 11:30 a.m. on NFHS Network.

Syracuse University faced a budget shortfall after missing its undergraduate enrollment target, triggering spending cuts, larger scholarships, and program consolidations. Chancellor Mike Haynie said the university will adopt entrepreneurial recruitment strategies to attract more students next fall (fall 2027) amid fewer international enrollments and a declining demographic.

The annual 5K race will occur at Syracuse Hancock International Airport on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 8 a.m. when the main runway is closed to aircraft, allowing runners to race alongside MQ-9 Reaper aircraft; registration costs $43.95 and includes a race shirt (online registration required).
