- ➤ Work crews are replacing a 134-foot section of a broken pipeline in Cicero as water may not flow until mid-January after testing, said Jeff Brown from the Onondaga County Water Authority. The county distributed 3,400 cases of water today & urges affected towns to keep conserving. Syracuse.com
- ➤ Fayetteville Manlius High School distributed 3,400 cases of water on Friday to support households amid a mandatory water conservation advisory as Onondaga Emergency Management noted the region remained stable while officials delayed a new pipe installation for at least two weeks — each car received one case per family member. - ➤ The Firefighters Association of the State of New York has proposed 14 legislative changes, including tax credits and reimbursements + incentives, to boost volunteer firefighter recruitment as numbers fall to about 80,000.
