- ➤ United Way of Syracuse hosted its 24th annual MLK Day of Service event at Nottingham High School on Jan. 20—collecting 5,000 winter items from 2,000 volunteers to help residents facing severe cold; donations were sent to 25 local agencies. WAER
- ➤ Baldwinsville Dining Weeks will run from Monday, Jan. 26 through Sunday, Feb. 8, showcasing 15 local restaurants that will offer specialty deals with unique dishes or custom three-course meals in the community. - ➤ Hundreds of teen artists from 14 counties submitted work for the 2026 CNY Scholastic Art Awards. Onondaga Community College hosted the event—sponsored by M and T Bank—and judges inspected over 5,000 entries in 19 categories, awarding 1,487 winners with Gold Key, Silver Key and honorable mentions.
