- ➤ Every Monday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. when classes run, the Hendricks Chapel Quilters meet in the Noble Room to create handmade quilts donated to charities serving food pantries and SUNY Upstate patients—using donated fabric and machines to help keep local residents warm. Syracuse University

- ➤ North Syracuse Schools are set to revise their 2026–27 budget as rising energy costs—18% for electric and 6.3% for natural gas—add about $122,000 to next year's expenses. Officials plan energy upgrades and will refine proposals this month for a May vote. CNY Central
