- ➤ Syracuse University will launch a regional economic development office to help Central New York take advantage of the proposed Micron Technology chipmaking complex. - ➤ AAA reports that gas prices are slowly falling as travelers head into spring break–the national average is $3.08 per gallon while Syracuse stations average $3.12, a 2-cent drop from last week. CNY Central

- ➤ On Monday, Syracuse City Council approved a land swap agreement between the city and the Syracuse Housing Authority—letting Rochester's Cornerstone Group, Ltd. start work on the Eastwood Heights senior living complex. The deal swaps property ownership—SHA takes control of Eastwood Heights while the city receives Latimer Terrace to restart the Children Rising Center project. CNY Central
- ➤ State payroll data from 2024 show that two state workers earned over $1 million, with Dr. Robert Corona of Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse earning more than $1.01 million+ he was the highest-paid worker last year. - ➤ Onondaga County Family Court lawyer Beth Lockhart filed a federal lawsuit against the sheriff’s office, the county, and a deputy after her guns were seized when an extreme risk protection order was issued in 2023 (she is accused of threatening a judge).
