- ➤ Salt City Market in downtown Syracuse added a new vendor, Doomsday Pasta, which started as a two-month pop-up in January and will operate through at least June — offering artisanal pasta made from locally sourced ingredients. Owner Keeli Manning said she plans to keep the stand open longer if business stays strong — and market coordinator Nicole Whyte noted that vendor turnover has slowed compared to previous years. - ➤ Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding 47-year-old Albert Senke Jr. who was reported missing on April 4th from Assumption Cemetery off Court Street in Syracuse and may be a danger to himself—people with tips should call the Major Crimes Unit at 315-435-3081. CNY Central

- ➤ Syracuse Stage will present Kate Hamill’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility from April 23 to May 11 at the Archbold Theatre (820 E. Genesee St) with director Jason O’Connell. - ➤ Syracuse University held its 108th Chancellor’s Review and Awards Ceremony on March 28 at the JMA Wireless Dome to honor Army and Air Force ROTC cadets for their leadership and school success. - ➤ On April 9, Mayor Walsh presented his proposed 2025-2026 budget, which included a $27 million deficit and a 2% property tax increase that would raise bills by $57 to $113 for local homeowners.
