- ➤ Eleven Syracuse University students spent spring break in Washington, D.C. on a one-week course about genocide and human rights with global experts — led by professor Julia M. - ➤ Syracuse City Court Judge Shadia Tadros on Apr. 15 ordered Destra Management to let Nob tenants access Building 3 and retrieve their belongings within 14 days or face a $500 weekly fine per tenant following a fatal Feb. 28 fire that forced temporary relocations. CNY Central
- ➤ Camillus police will increase patrols to catch drivers illegally passing stopped school buses as part of a statewide traffic safety initiative. Offenders face a $250 fine for a first offense and stricter penalties may follow. CNY Central
- ➤ On Friday, during the Stop Energy Hogs Tour, advocates in Syracuse called for a moratorium on new A.I. data centers and urged Governor Hochul to act against rising energy costs and climate risks. The tour will continue in Albany, Kingston and New York City next week. CNY Central
