- ➤ Four people fell into Oneida Lake when their canoe overturned about 600 yards off shore along Lakeshore Road at 3:17 p.m.—rescue teams including the South Bay Fire Department and South Bay Water Rescue responded quickly—and EMS provided basic life support before transporting the victims for hypothermia treatment as lake temperatures averaged 40°.
