Matt Mulcahay from CNY Central was officially added to the Syracuse Press Club Wall of Distinction downtown—following a board vote that reviewed over 20 nominees.

Van Robinson, a long-time Syracuse politician and advocate for the Black community, died at 87 Saturday afternoon at Upstate University Hospital.

He served 18 years on the Common Council — including as its first Black president — and led the local NAACP for many years.
