- ➤ Syracuse Police are asking for help finding 16-year-old Jackob Barlow who is intellectually challenged and needs adult supervision—he was last seen on May 12 at 11 a.m. on Robinson Street wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt, red shorts and blue sneakers and is known to frequent the Western Lights area on Onondaga Boulevard. - ➤ On May 13, Syracuse police responded to a shooting at 9:54 p.m. on North Townsend Street near the Moses DeWitt Apartments, blocking off several streets & deploying over 10 police cars, two ambulances and multiple crime scene vans. Syracuse.com

- ➤ After months of negotiation, the Syracuse Teachers Union and the city school district reached a tentative four-year contract agreement that will be voted on by union members next week. The deal comes after a previously rejected contract raised concerns over wages and sick leave (union officials provided no further details). CNY Central
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Councilors in Syracuse approved $16 million in budget cuts that remove a property tax increase, reduce city reserve draws, and trim police and fire budgets by about 5% while cutting most other departments by 7 to 9%—the acting council president said they are open to further talks as Mayor Walsh must decide by Monday whether to accept, veto, or negotiate the plan.
