- ➤ Syracuse native and millionaire Chedy Hampson has bought the former Bishop Foery Center plus a house and two lots on Edmund Avenue for a South Side community center revival — his nonprofit, the South Side Community Growth Foundation plans to restore the venue for youth sports, family services and local gatherings.
