- ➤ County clerk offices in Onondaga, Cayuga, Cortland and Madison counties registered 34 new businesses the week of May 11–15, including travel advisement, food services, HVAC and pet waste removal. - ➤ A century-old manufacturing group created a nonprofit to combine local workforce training programs; the Manufacturers Talent Institute will help businesses fill skilled roles and has secured about $3.25 million in funding. - ➤ Forensic science students watched a live hazard response exercise on South Campus last month when the New York National Guard 2nd Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team led a multiagency CBRN simulation.
