- ➤ On Wednesday evening, a 7-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle on the 400 block of West Onondaga Street near a major intersection with West Street and was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical but stable condition as police investigate the incident. CNY Central

- ➤ The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office arrested Deputy Jamell Darden on charges of forging signatures on his pistol permit application+ the 22-year-old from Liverpool was terminated from the department and is now held at the Onondaga County Justice Center. CNY Central
- ➤ DeWitt Police responded to shots fired on Tuesday, June 10—locating .45 caliber and .9mm caliber shell casings at the 200 block of W. Heman St in East Syracuse—and reported no injuries though a stray round struck a nearby residence. CNY Central
- ➤ Burt Marshall was arrested this week for allegedly stealing over $50 million from hundreds of investors in an alleged Ponzi scheme that left him owing $90 million — victims in Hamilton who had long called for action celebrated the arrest. Syracuse.com
