- ➤ Former corrections officer Nathan Palmer pleaded guilty to first-degree hindering prosecution and first-degree falsifying business records—he admitted filing false reports to cover up a fatal inmate beating in March at Mid-State Correctional Facility. Syracuse.com

- ➤ American High studio in Liverpool has 248 fire code violations and other legal infractions including an ADA violation—codes inspectors say the studio may face fines of $1,000 per day if the issues continue. The studio says it is working on long-term fixes such as reducing diesel generator noise while neighbors have complained and its CEO, who is running for mayor, has not yet responded. CNY Central
- ➤ Campaign finance filings from Friday show that Hogan raised nearly $20,000 more than Owens over the past three weeks—though Owens still has twice as much money left—and early voting will run until Sunday, June 22 ahead of the June 24 primary. Syracuse.com
