- ➤ A 21-year-old kayaker from The Bronx, Kader Oulasie, drowned on Sunday at 3:35 p.m. on Tully Lake when his kayak capsized because he was not wearing a life jacket+dive teams and a friend’s rescue effort failed, and his body was recovered Monday morning. Syracuse.com

- ➤ Voters in five school districts—Jordan-Elbridge, Central Square, Cazenovia, Cortland and Vernon-Verona Sherrill—approved revised school budgets for the 2025–26 year Tuesday after rejecting the initial proposals in May.
