- ➤ Six unidentified suspects broke into Destiny USA mall on March 31 at about 3 a.m. when they used a crowbar to smash a glass display case at the Banter by Piercing Pagoda kiosk and stole $51,000 in jewelry before fleeing in a stolen white Kia—police said the suspects remain at large—and the jewelry remains missing. - ➤ Early Sunday morning, police reported that a 45-year-old man flagged officers down on the 100 block of East Raynor Avenue in Syracuse with severe facial injuries and head trauma—injuries likely caused by fireworks as he suffered a severed thumb and a deep head cut—and he was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical but stable condition.
