- ➤ A box truck struck the underside of the Parkway Bridge in Salina at 1:30 p.m. Friday — all lanes from Oswego Street to Park Street were closed while the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office responded. CNY Central

- ➤ Former Marcy Corrections Officer Michael Mashaw is set to stand trial Oct. 6 for manslaughter—bodycam video shows him involved in the violent beating of inmate Robert Brooks, who died at 43 after his transfer from Mohawk to Marcy. CNY Central
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ KeyBank CEO Chris Gorman said the area will see rapid growth when Micron Technology begins building its $100 billion chip plant in Clay this fall—creating 9,000 high-paying jobs and attracting 40,000 supply chain workers.
