  • Earlier this summer, a wallaby named Mac escaped in Oswego County and was safely captured by owner Danny Oostdyk after a community search + her adventure inspired a children’s book called Mac’s Big Adventure. Visitors will see Mac at the Great New York State Fair next Saturday through Monday.  CNY Central
  • Former Syracuse University basketball player Eric Devendorf held a back-to-school giveaway at Kirk Park on Saturday with his ED23 Foundation—handing out over 300 backpacks with school supplies and free haircuts to local children. He said the event was his way of giving back to the community—supporting families facing the financial burden of school preparations.  CNY Central

  • State Police identified five people who died in a bus rollover crash near Pembroke on Aug 22 at about 12:22 p.m.—49 passengers were injured when the bus lost control and went into a ditch.  Syracuse.com
