- ➤ POC is celebrating its 50th anniversary with '50 Sin Cuenta,' a landmark exhibition of contemporary Latin American art at the renovated Warehouse Gallery in downtown Syracuse. - ➤ On Day 9, the New York State Fair drew 65,419 visitors for Armed Forces Day, Dairy Day, and Stomp Out Stigma Day as concerts and contests entertained the crowd. - ➤ The Syracuse Common Council revised its fiscal year 2026 budget with a $16 million service cut and overrode Mayor Walsh’s veto to address a $26 million deficit—also updating the traffic code to make blocking a bike lane a violation. The council updated plans for STEAM High School, which received over 400 applications and will open in September with 250 students in a curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering, math and arts.
