- ➤ On Monday, September 1, the Great New York State Fair in Geddes ended with Labor Day celebrations that featured a parade led by labor groups starting at 10:30 a.m., one-credit rides on the Midway beginning at 11 a.m., a rally, and a fireworks display around 8 p.m. + live concerts at Chevy Court and Suburban Park added extra entertainment as the fair closed.
