  • Price Right Marketplace held its annual Feeding Minds & Bodies campaign Thursday, September 11th—delivering 25-pound food boxes, 15-pound personal care boxes, school supply backpacks and gift cards to nearly 400 local families—and partnered with Feed the Children, United Way and the Boys & Girls Clubs to help ease hunger.  CNY Central
  • DJ Bob Runkel explained on Enable: The Disability Podcast how cerebral palsy affects his life and why people with disabilities should be treated equally—new episodes will be released weekly.   • Owner Jenn Chapman opened the Grow Out Boutique in Manlius at 604 East Seneca Street to sell gently used baby and toddler clothes, shoes — and toys, building on her successful Watertown consignment events that supported military families at Fort Drum.   • The Oneida Indian Nation is inviting local vendors to a day-long event today at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona to discuss upcoming contracts for food, construction, and maintenance as part of a $370 million expansion plan.   • Syracuse native Deon'te Goodman plays Aaron Burr in Hamilton at Landmark Theater — part of the national tour that runs through Sept. 21 — and he said returning home feels like a full-circle moment while recalling the music teachers who sparked his love for theater.  CNY Central

  • Syracuse University dedicated the Sala Family Plaza on Sept. 6 to honor the Sala family's 70-year legacy in shaping campus facilities—spanning from John Sala's early contributions to Pete Sala's decades of leadership.   • Megan Thomas, a workplace harassment attorney, is suing Syracuse Regional Airport Authority—she says the authority broke their contract and violated her First Amendment rights by asking her to change the wording of her billboard at the airport. HEALTH NEWS

  • Bosco's at the Fair — which corrected previous Onondaga County Health Department violations — passed three inspections during the first week of this year's New York State Fair, confirming it now meets health standards.  Syracuse.com
  • The Oswego County Health Department confirmed that more mosquitoes in West Monroe have tested positive for EEE since July + urging residents to wear long sleeves and use bug spray as the virus remains active until the first heavy frost.  CNY Central

SPORTS NEWS

  • Evans Mills Raceway Park will host the final ISMA/MSS championship race this Saturday—Tyler Shullick holds a slim two‐point lead over Mike McVetta in the 100‐lap event, which is part of the John Burr Classic. Other key races this weekend include the Race of Champions at Lake Erie Speedway and competitions at Oswego, Fonda and Plattsburgh with prizes from a few thousand up to over $100,000.  Syracuse.com
