- ➤ On November 17, Onondaga County officials will vote to finalize a tax incentive deal for the Micron project that includes waiving sales tax on construction materials + a 49-year PILOT agreement. Local residents worry about increased school enrollments, traffic and utility demands and urge that Micron reinvests in local services + infrastructure improvements. WAER
- ➤ Nearly 100,000 Central New York residents who lost SNAP benefits 10 days ago will receive full payments by Thursday after a court order restored funding following a government shutdown. - ➤ The East Fayette Street parking garage at 300 East Fayette in Syracuse was closed after a code inspection found shifting columns and concrete panels that raised safety concerns. - ➤ The New York State Department of Transportation is reducing lanes on I-481 northbound for bridge work in Cicero and DeWitt — in Cicero, one lane will be reduced between Exit 95 and the Northern Blvd ramp daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from November 7 through November 14 with an extension from November 10 to November 12, and both towns will have a one-lane reduction from Exit 7 to Exit 95 during the same hours — so drivers are urged to slow down in work zones as construction is weather dependent.
