- ➤ St. Lucy’s Church hosted its annual Christmas Giveaway Saturday morning in its gym (across from the church) for 300 to 400 families in need. The event delivered jackets, household goods, hygiene products and toys so every family could enjoy the season. CNY Central

- ➤ Fifty graduates completed Leadership Greater Syracuse’s 2025 program on Dec. 4 at Bellevue Country Club, gaining leadership skills and community insight. The program, now celebrating its 35th anniversary, featured a diverse group from over 500 local employers. Syracuse.com
- ➤ G.A. Braun Inc., a 79-year-old family-owned manufacturer in Cicero, has been sold to European firm Jensen North America+ which plans to expand production capacity at the Hancock Air Park plant. - ➤ A new federal hemp law set to take effect in November 2026 may force local cannabis sellers to change product lines and online sales. Local sellers say adjustments may cause turbulence while safety rules remain in place (industry experts say). Syracuse.com

- ➤ CBA boys basketball overcame a halftime deficit to win 45-42 over C-NS Friday at Peppino’s Invitational, led by guard Gino Bullock’s 20 points and a winning spirit borrowed from the football team, coach Buddy Wleklinski said, with the school rounding out the tournament on Saturday. Syracuse.com
