- ➤ John Thompson donated 48 works of art to the University Art Museum to strengthen its teaching role; he credited his Syracuse education (’72) as inspiration for giving back. - ➤ State DOT officials said the I-81 project hired 288 local workers from targeted Syracuse zip codes, meeting its 15 percent local hiring goal in most contracts. Phase two will begin soon with work to reconstruct I-690 near the I-81 interchange. WAER
