- ➤ State records show Global Energy Efficiency Holdings Inc. owes over $6 million in taxes as of September (with part of the debt from Onondaga County), making it one of the largest business arrears in New York; another firm in Rockland County owes more than $13.9 million. Syracuse.com

- ➤ Mayor Walsh has issued a snow safety alert as heavy snow and strong winds create hazardous conditions in Syracuse today. City crews will plow primary roads while police enforce alternate parking rules + residents are urged to clear sidewalks for safe travel. CNY Central
- ➤ Starting this spring, Hiscock Legal Aid Society will hire 11 attorneys and six support staff to launch its new Misdemeanor Defense Program for Syracuse courts. - ➤ St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse is renovating its inpatient psychiatric unit at the Clare Loeber Smith Center using a $16.9 million state grant to add more private rooms and serve up to 30 patients. The hospital expects the updates to be completed by the end of 2027. Syracuse.com
