- ➤ Five people detained Thursday, September 4 at the Nutrition Bar Confectioner plant in Cato are now facing federal charges for reentry after being previously removed—court documents show they were originally from Guatemala or Mexico. CNY Central
- ➤ Jerry P. Gordon pleaded guilty to threatening a sniper attack to kill someone in Cayuga County — he flew from Colorado to Syracuse, was arrested at Newark airport, and now faces up to 5 years in federal prison. Syracuse.com
- ➤ Police responded around 10:50 p.m. late Monday night to a shooting in the 100 block of Dickerson Street where a 44-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his lower leg—his injuries are not life-threatening and officials have not yet determined the exact location. Syracuse.com

- ➤ Downtown Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre completed a 1.5 million restoration last week — cleaning, repainting, and repairing its ornate decorative details — in time for Tuesday’s opening night of Hamilton.
